About Esperanto
Bonvenu translates to WELCOME in Esperanto!
Esperanto is a made up language with no complicated grammar, blended from all the languages of Europe - from Latin to Ukranian - which has been practiced, in speech and literature for over 100 years. This language is uniquely simple and is considered a world-wide tongue.
Esperanto is a language that builds bridges between ordinary people. A Czech may talk to an American and a Japanese can chat to a Swede without anyone resorting to his national language or noticing any communication barrier. The goal was to create an easy and flexible language that would serve as a universal second language to foster peace and international understanding.
Esperanto has had continuous usage by a community estimated at between 100,000 and 2 million speakers for over a century.
